WILDLIFE
We have many years experience of working with professional photographers in Kenya. Whether you are focusing on a particular wildlife species such as rhino, wild dogs or big cats, or if your approach is more broad, we have designed many individual itineraries tailored to capture the best moments in the best locations for your subject. We are experts in this field and know the best times of year to capture each species, mindful of the weather, light, dust, and best guides to help put you in the right spot at that exact moment.
TRIBAL
The beautiful tribes of North Kenya and Ethiopia are still remarkably close to their traditions. With a tribal expert who has worked with many of these tribes for twenty years, we can arrange small, tailor made expeditions to visit these people and photograph them in the most sensitive way which is respectful to their traditions and as uncommercial as possible. We visit Turkana, Rendille, Gabbra, Samburu and Pokot tribes from Kenya as well as people in the Omo valley of Ethiopia.
With no more than four guests in a group, led by our team of experts on the ground, our mobile camp is set up in these specific areas to support the trip of a lifetime. Vanishing traditions and incredibly beautiful people instil a sense that now is the time to connect with them and learn about their traditions, and come home with beautiful photographs that are testament to an eclipse in time in a changing world.
We have set up photo shoots in the desert and on Lake Turkana, working with local tribes as models for the moment. Our trips are planned carefully with a local cultural expert who ensures they are managed beautifully and with respect for the people allowing us to visit them. It is a huge privilege to venture into these traditional areas with the knowledge that these traditions will be gone in the next decade or so. Learning about the local culture is a big part of any visit to a tribe, we don’t just fly in and take photos and leave. We only work with very small groups of photographers, and the resulting work is stunning and deeply memorable for anyone who has been lucky enough to visit these tribes.
